The Smelted Kin is the future of robot-mechanical symbiosis. The intelligent mechanic drones communicate, learn, adapt and develop.
The game is a puzzle-platformer, where the routes of travel are limited, with the player solving puzzles and collecting information in order to overcome the perils of the planet.

Fluent NHibernate: Why use it?
Fluent NHibernate seems to be the “new kid in town”. It was introduced on April 7th, 2011. It has over 30 months of development. I am now trying to understand when and why you would use it instead of the vanilla NHibernate (4.0.x) or code your own if you don’t like how the FluentNHibernate does it.
Looking at the GitHub repository, it seems to be good but also overkill for the average project.
I guess I am looking for some unbiased reviews of it.

Thanks to some good answers from the community, I have come to the conclusion that (at least the basics) it is not necessary to learn if you already know the basics of NHibernate.
To be clear, the Fluent NHibernate replaces simple configuration like mappings, aliases, etc. But it replaces that with something more powerful. It allows you to model your domain in a fluent way. Instead of performing some guesswork, the mappings are defined “by hand” with annotations.
By doing so, you can stop worrying about that for future projects as you will already know how to do it. It will still be more powerful. But it will also grow into your projects as you add more
