How do I optimize a SELECT query that is a part of a larger loop?
I have a loop that will select all the id’s in a table and then run a query to retrieve the fields associated with that id.
For this example, the query is fairly simple, but in my larger example the SELECT query is not the same across all the loop iterations. This makes things slow and I suspect that it’s due to the number of times the SELECT query is run. Is there a way to optimize this process? Or even get the SELECT query to only be run once so that it doesn’t matter how many times it’s run in the loop?
