How to Play
Choose a character from your party of four players.
Each of the four players has a specific role:
Leader is in charge of the party’s strategy, and has access to both offensive and defensive magic.
Assault is in charge of the primary attack. They have access to defensive magic and a variety of skills to attack enemies.
Support has access to defensive magic and healing. In particular, they have access to speed and endurance skills that provide instant defense and life force.
Advisor is in charge of managing members’ overall strength and vitality and has access to various skills.
NOTE: Only one of the four roles may be selected as your designated leader.

ready to start teaching my 10th grade students this year, I have revisited the topic of “What makes people creative?” and found a great piece of research on this topic by two professors from UCLA on theCreative Mind and Its Development, published in the Journal of Creativity Research and Practice. As I plan my syllabus this year, I am re-reading the most relevant chapters in their book, and have found a great resource to go to directly.
They’ve broken their findings into two categories: First, Characteristics of creative people, and the second category: Specific cognitive skills and procedures that are closely related to creativity. As I read over this research, it’s made me reflect not only on my own creative development but also how I can work on expanding my personal skill sets to help improve my teaching. It’s what I’ve been looking forward to all year!
Creative people have some traits that are, in my opinion, beneficial to young learners. The definition of creative thinking, which is also the one we are working with, includes: originality, fluency, and flexibility. All of these aspects are important for any young person. The brain structure of creative people also relates to the processing of novelty, something that I’ll discuss more in another post.
They also observed that people who are creative were more experienced with problem-solving and had a high level of positive emotion. This makes sense to me; I have heard about young people who are really good at solving problems, and their parents say things like, “Yeah, you really need to be creative when you first start at something
