Is there a way to determine the Windows version from a service installation path?
I have a windows service that runs fine on Windows 7 and Windows 8.3, but Windows Server 2012 is causing the service to fail. I don’t know whether the problem is that the service was developed for Windows 7, or that the installation folder is on a different drive, or something else.
Ideally I want to know if the service is being installed to a different drive so I can back track and see if I need to change something in my deployment setup.
